Why Hungry Earth?
We call our brand Hungry Earth because, well, the earth is kind of hungry these days.
As we stress our soils for production and performance, we often neglect the idea that soil is a spectacular tool and has naturally adapted to nourish life, humans included.
Today, we tend to rely on strong fertilizers to engineer our soils – stripping nutrients and leaving our earth a little burnt-out and hungry for a home remedy.
A natural stimulus to encourage the frenzy of activity that healthy soil hosts. One tablespoon of soil contains an important microscopic metropolis of activity that cycles water and nutrients essential to fostering robust and diverse life.
Mimicking the process of photosynthesis, Biochar, as a high-carbon product, places essential carbon back in the soil for the earth to do what it does best: flourish with life.
